New Album, Single And Tour Delayed Until 2005
Date Posted: 29th June 2004 - Source: EIS
The EIS announced today that the new album Nightbird and the new single Breathe will not be released in October as originally planned, but will now be released in January 2005. The tour that was planned for this autumn will now go ahead in the spring. This is due to the fact Vince will be unavailable for the next couple of months and that Andy is currently recuperating from a recent hip operation. By postponing the release dates, it will allow the band and Mute Records to be able to properly promote the new material. It was also confirmed that there will be a new Erasure release of some kind later this year, with the rumour being that the acoustics/country album of re-recorded old album tracks will be released early, having originally been due for release after Nightbird. The EIS '04 event will go ahead as planned.

The first single from this album will be called Breathe (and not Breath as mentioned below) and will also be released in October. The only hint of the sound of the album comes from Greg at the EIS who states "the album is classic Erasure sounding, yet with an evolved feel to it". I can't wait!
