Erasure To Support Robbie Williams In 2017

6 November 2016

Robbie Williams Tour PosterWell, I didn't see this one coming – it has been officially announced that Erasure will be the support act for Robbie Williams during his 2017 tour! The tour, entitled The Heavy Entertainment Show, will see Erasure support Robbie at various stadium venues next summer, with tickets for all shows to go on general sale at 10am on Friday 11th November.

It's not the first time Erasure have been on tour as the support act – the band have previously opened for the likes of Duran Duran and David Bowie, but not since the late 80s have Andy and Vince not been the headliners.

Further information about the tour and how to buy tickets can be found on the official Robbie Williams website.

  1. A lot of negative response from erasure fans about being Robbie’s special guests, once erasure release their own tour dates for 2017 then I’m sure fans will be happier, seems like erasure are pushing for a top 10 album next year and if this is achieved by the extra exposure from the Robbie Williams gigs, then its job done

  2. I totally agree with you, Burt, even because Robbie Williams is far from being a poor pop act and he certainly has a good collection of pop hits. Just don’t ask me to talk about Take That…

  3. If Erasure are doing their own tour next year, I shall wait for those concerts. I’m not going to pay out to watch them perform eight songs. However, if I was looking at it from the point of view of a Robbie Williams fan, I’d say ‘what a cracking support act!’
